General Purpose
Email marketing and SMS system specialist to facilitate build and support of customer facing communications utilizing digital tools to effectively target appropriate customers. Conducts analysis of customer data for outreach through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations. Presents technical analysis and recommendations to management and may recommend alternatives. Works with business unit and IT to support systems implementations, upgrades, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Promote a customer first culture and commit to delivering outstanding results for customers.
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and analysis using understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
- Provide systems administration and process execution of management and maintenance systems.
- Develop or modify moderately complex system automation to meet business needs.
- Responsible for final quality check before campaigns are launched.
- Lead design and build of programs, facilitate campaigns, create and update HTML, build SQL, create filters, set data targeting parameters, support testing requirements, etc. as requested to accurately target customers within and utilizing Oracle Responsys and Eloqua.
- Document user and system requirements and revise existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
- Coordinate and ensure quality and integrity of input data.
- Create tools to automate processes involving input and extraction of data for both regular and ad hoc reports.
- Analyze output data and reports and provide interpretation and concise recommendations to target customers for personalized communication outreach.
- Collaborate with business teams and peers across departments and organizations to support product utilization and efficiency.
- Use data management skills to target customers based on behaviors and demographics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in data analysis.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS as it relates to email communications.
- Sound understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience with SQL.
- Experience creating automated programs to deploy complex email campaigns.
- Experience interpreting and reporting campaign performance data for ongoing improvement.
- Knowledge of data gathering, forecasting, and modeling techniques.
- Ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, and deliver on commitments and specifications.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
- Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment.
Preferences
- Proficient using Oracle Responsys, Eloqua and/or similar email and SMS campaign tools.
- SQL certification.
- Understanding of CAN SPAM Act.
- Experience in energy or public utility business.
- Experience with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data reporting and visualization tools such as BOBJ, SQL, Cognos reporting system, Power BI, VBA, etc.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 12% of salary.
