General Purpose

The Systems & Development Analyst role supports the stability, reliability, and ongoing improvement of Energy Supply Management applications and integrated business systems. Analysts investigate and resolve issues, perform routine to advanced application maintenance, collaborate with end users and technical teams, and ensure accurate documentation and workflow management across supported environments. Can You Get Fired for No Reason?

Yes, in all the US states (except Montana), companies mostly use the “at-will” employment rule. Meaning, employers can let you go at any time, for almost any reason.

But there are some caveats. Your employer may not be able to fire you as easily if you’re covered by:

Specific clauses in your work contract (e.g., about the conditions for severance)
A union agreement, which protects all people in your profession
Or government “just cause” protections, requiring a valid, documented reason and a fair investigation before terminating a worker

Likewise, if a termination is based on illegal grounds (for example, discrimination based on race, gender or age), or if you have a contract that says you can only be fired “for cause,” then the employer’s freedom to simply fire you drops away.…

17.3.17 A System Operator is a System Operator at PCC who monitors and controls the electrical system and alarms, issues holds, clearances and assurances, operates computerized systems (i.e. EMS/SCADA, CADOPS and COMPASS), prepares and executes switching orders, maintains accurate logs and performs dispatching duties as assigned. A System Operator is a qualified Journeyman or non-journeyman meeting the pre-qualifications in Section 14.2.9 and who has successfully completed the System Operator training program.

A System Operator Trainee is expected to move through the training program established by the JQC within the timeline established by the committee.

There are many high-paying jobs in renewable energy and the industry grows more each year.

Renewable energy jobs are thriving because renewable energy is a growth industry. Renewables are set to account for almost 95% of the increase in global power capacity through 2026, with solar PV alone providing more than half.

Renewables are set to contribute 80% of new power generation capacity by 2030. More than a third of the world’s electricity will come from renewables in 2025. It’s on track to provide 35-50% of electricity in the United States in 2030.

California, the world’s fifth-largest economy, now regularly generates more renewable energy than it needs.

Jobs in solar outnumber jobs in coal mining and the oil and gas industry combined. The number of renewable energy jobs worldwide increased in 2021 despite the huge economic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the growing industry holding up better than fossil fuels.
