General Purpose

 

Responsible for performing equipment setup, commissioning, and tracking in company asset record software (SAP), including managing database field, attributes, maintenance plans and the overall transition of these fields to new company asset records software. Additional responsibilities, include processing and managing all maintenance test records for various types of equipment including weather station maintenance items, managing manufacturer alert and warranty related corrective maintenance items, and managing WECC compliance for Bulk Electric System T&D assets. Additionally, this position, will provide to support to transition company transmission, distribution, substation equipment asset records to new asset record software (Maximo). 

Responsibilities

 

  • Performs electronic equipment setup, commissioning, and tracking of asset equipment in company asset record software (SAP)
  • Manages asset field, attributes, and maintenance plans in company asset record software (SAP)
  • Support transition of transmission, distribution, and substation equipment asset records into new company asset record (Maximo)
  • Manage maintenance test records for various types of equipment installed on transmission, distribution, and substation
  • Manages manufacturer alert and warranty related corrective maintenance items
  • Supports WECC compliance for bulk electric T&D Assets
  • Supports maintenance planning team with transition to new company asset record software Maximo.
  • Develop or modify complex information systems to meet business needs.
  • Documents user and system requirements and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary
  • Coordinate and ensure quality and integrity of input data into operational and forecast systems.
  • Provide expert data analysis for development and maintenance of modeling and reporting systems. 
  • Create tools to automate processes involving input and extraction of data and both regular and ad hoc reports. 
  • Analyze output data and reports and provide interpretation and concise communication of results. 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, IT or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • A minimum of five years of experience providing financial data analysis and management for development and maintenance of business based information management systems.
  • Knowledge of data gathering, analysis, forecasting, and modeling techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations. 
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes.
  • Ability to deliver to project timelines, budgets and specifications.
  • Proficient with the use of personal computers including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications to gather, analyze, and model information.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment.

Preferences

 

  • Experience in energy trading or public utility business.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio, Office, SQL, Cognos reporting system, and VBA. 
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other company asset records software.
