General Purpose

Supports the company by providing legal advice and support on a variety of issues, with a primary emphasis on contract negotiation and commercial support for the energy resource and supply side of the business and a secondary emphasis on managing support of real estate matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support in the drafting, negotiation and administration of all manner of contracts supporting the energy resource and supply side of the business, including master trading agreements (EEI, WSPP, ISDA), power purchase agreements, build-transfer agreements, major equipment purchase agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, and long-term service and maintenance agreements.
• Provide legal support to the company in real estate matters, including eminent domain proceedings and real estate contracting.
• Provide counsel and legal advice on the interpretation of relevant law and regulations, regulatory agency orders and guidance, and corporate policies.
