General Purpose

Step into a role where your engineering expertise directly supports the safe, reliable delivery of power across our transmission and distribution systems! In this position, you will apply established engineering methods and best practices to develop studies, detailed designs, and protection system settings that support the construction, operation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in shaping project scopes, producing high-quality engineering documentation, and providing technical guidance and peer review to fellow engineers. Manages and oversees the front office operational controls. This position is responsible for the development, oversight, performance, and documentation of the operational controls in the energy supply management (ESM) group. ESM is responsible for load service of PacifiCorp’s more than 2 million customers across six states. This entails the optimization of generation and transmission resources including commercial trading activity and the near-term forecasting of load and renewable resources. Responsible for developing, defining and maintaining a controls framework for ESM that continuously identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to serve our customers in the least-cost manner. This position is also responsible for the creation of an audit trail to ensure processes are followed and for use in regulatory procedures.
