Conduct engineering analysis using EMS, PowerWorld, and DACA (Day Ahead Contingency Analysis tool) to determine potential reliability issues with the CAISO Market Solution.
Coordinate with CAISO Engineers, Market Operators, and PacifiCorp Operators to implement reliability centric changes to the Market Solution.
Provide real-time operational support for market solutions errors that result in reliability impacts.
Perform system analyses and provides real-time engineering support to ensure reliable operation of the transmission systems.

This entails the optimization of generation and transmission resources including commercial trading activity and the near-term forecasting of load and renewable resources. Responsible for developing, defining and maintaining a controls framework for ESM that continuously identifies, assesses, and mitigates risks to serve our customers in the least-cost manner. This position is also responsible for the creation of an audit trail to ensure processes are followed and for use in regulatory procedures.
