General Purpose

This position is responsible for assisting Power Marketer/Originators with the negotiation of power purchase agreements, including qualified facilities to enhance value and reduce risk to customers. Assist and influence the design, development and implementation of strategies and plans for effective commodity contract management, restructuring, and effective dispute resolution with respect to wholesale, qualified facility and retail customers. 

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Assist in buying and selling of energy wholesale products and services from wholesale qualified entities to enhance value or reduce risk exposure in the WECC May direct transactions within specified risk management established policy limits.
• Assist in restructuring existing contractual obligations. 
• Identify opportunities for new transactions.
• Establish and develop relationships with key individuals and entities in the wholesale marketplace.
• Feed market intelligence back into the organization.
• Drive transactions through the internal evaluation and approval process.
