General Purpose

 

A Utility Specialist Meterman is a qualified employee who shall perform work mutually agreed to by the Company and Union. Duties typically assigned to the Utility Specialist Meterman are Collections/Connects/Disconnects/Removal; Replacement or exchange of single-phase self-contained meters; locates; pole test and treat; Joint Use Coordination; Equipment Operation and others as agreed to by the Company and Union. The Utility Specialist Meterman may be required to hold a Commercial Driving license as dictated by the assigned duties and pass minimum qualification requirements as mutually agreed to by the Company and the Union. The Utility Specialist Meterman with proper training may be assigned to drive or operate equipment.

Responsibilities

 

The Utility Specialist Meterman will perform labor necessary to assist with the installing, maintaining, repairing and/or operating Company equipment and facilities. Performance of duties may include: meter reading, collections, meter replacement/removal/exchange, pole test and treat, joint use coordination, equipment operation, clean-up work, debris removal, loading and unloading materials, storage of items, digging, grounds maintenance, fueling vehicles, cleaning and painting equipment and performing work using various hand-held tools.
