General Purpose
Responsible for transmission pre-schedule, control area checkout, internal (borderline) customer scheduling and checkout; after-the-fact reconciliation and WECC reporting. Serves as a part of a team with rotating job functions, including scheduling, After-The-Fact reconciliation (ATF), E-Tag approval, checkout, and several miscellaneous duties in compliance with NERC/WECC policy. The position will work Monday through Friday and be On-Call on a rotating basis.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for the Mid-Level position include the following:
- Pre-Schedule all energy moving through PacifiCorp’s system.
- Monitor ETAG approval/denials.
- Perform Internal/Borderline scheduling.
- Conduct After-The-Fact reconciliation.
- Perform CAS (control area scheduling) checkout vs. scheduling software.
- Provide OASIS backup as needed.
- Work with Real Time Scheduling to resolve differences as needed.
Responsibilities for the Senior position include the following:
- Lead the Pre-Schedule of all energy moving through PacifiCorp’s system.
- Lead and assist with monitoring ETAG approval/denials.
- Lead and assist with Internal/Borderline scheduling.
- Lead and assist After-The-Fact reconciliation.
- Lead and assist CAS checkout. Provide OASIS backup as needed.
- Work with Real Time Scheduling to resolve differences as needed.
- Perform and maintain the system load calculation in Energy Accounting System (EAS)
- Perform and maintain other non-load calculation in Energy Accounting System (EAS)
- Monitor/maintain/update scheduling filters in Control Area Scheduling (CAS) system.
- Lead and respond to data requests on an as needed basis
Requirements
Requirements for the Mid-Level position include the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Marketing or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience with scheduling or dispatching activities.
- Communication and interpersonal skills for communicating requirements and establishing effective working relationships with traders, dispatchers or other entities.
- Proficient with the use of computer applications and automated tools to support trading activities.
In addition to the above, the Senior level requirements include:
- A minimum of five years of experience with scheduling or dispatching activities.
Preferences
- Knowledge of the WECC transmission grid, power plants, market hubs, and interchange points between companies.
- Experience with electronic tagging and associated NERC and WECC policies and business practices.
- Process management skills for monitoring all facets of utility system operation.
- Knowledge of company policies practices procedures, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 0-12%% of salary.
