Susquehanna Steam Electric Station in Salem Township, Pennsylvania, is a two-unit, 2,476-MW nuclear plant operated by Susquehanna Nuclear LLC, a subsidiary of Talen Energy, which owns 90% of the facility; Allegheny Electric Cooperative holds the remaining 10%. INSERT ART. Oklo’s Aurora Powerhouse is a vertically oriented compact passive fast-spectrum reactor derived from the Experimental Breeder Reactor-II (EBR-II) that uses liquid metal as a coolant. The company recently uprated its design’s capacity offerings to 15 MWe and 100 MWe.
