In addition, your daily workplace will be the scenic North Umpqua River basin in southern Oregon with occasional work at our other hydroelectric projects in six different states.

This position is a hands-on, in-the-field, training position similar to an apprenticeship. Successful candidates will work with or under the direction of Journeyman Technicians to learn the Meter and Relay Trade. A period of two (2) years, as defined by labor management agreements, will be allowed to complete all study materials and examinations. The two-year training course is divided into eight quarters with each quarter consisting of bookwork and hands-on tasks, with a test administered at the end of each quarter. A passing score is required on all tests before advancing to the next quarter of training. All hands-on tasks will be performed during normal business hours; however bookwork will be completed outside of work.
