General Purpose

Responsibilities

Maintain and operate optimization models used to develop the integrated resource plan (IRP), asset valuation studies, production cost analytics, and resource acquisition including the following activities:
- Ensure model assumptions are current and accurate (examples include loads, unit characteristics, fuel costs, environmental policy, transmission, resource retirements, and resource additions)

- Troubleshoot model errors.
- Review forecast/model results to ensure they are reasonable and consistent with input assumptions.

General Purpose:

Compile, analyze and interpret asset construction costs to determine if capital or expense in nature and allocate capital costs to final asset records created in PacifiCorp’s fixed asset subsidiary ledger.

Pacific Power is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Station Meter and Relay Technician. This position is a hands-on, in-the-field, training position similar to an apprenticeship. Successful candidates will work with or under the direction of Journeyman Technicians to learn the Meter and Relay Trade. A minimum period of two (2) years, as defined by labor management agreements, will be allowed to complete all study materials and examinations. The two-year training course is divided into eight quarters with each quarter consisting of bookwork and hands-on tasks, with a test administered at the end of each quarter. A passing score is required on all tests before advancing to the next quarter of training. All hands-on tasks will be performed during normal business hours; however bookwork will be completed outside of work.
