General Purpose

Provides advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions. This position is in the PacifiCorp finance department and is responsible for analyzing the settlement statements and financial results of the new extended day-ahead market (EDAM). This is a new energy market to be developed in May 2026 between PacifiCorp and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) and other western electric utilities.

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

Develop and apply custom data models and algorithms to large data sets.
Design tools and testing models to ensure data accuracy.
Create data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.
Collaborate with plant operations, energy supply management and regulatory teams to analyze problems, identify issues, innovate and deliver solutions consistent with schedules established and improve business outcomes.

They shall also be capable of installing, testing and maintaining supervisory control, telemetering and data acquisition equipment. Normally, they will work alone or with a Senior Communications Technician as the work requires and will be responsible for a vehicle, tools and materials as supplied by the Company. They may be capable and qualified to tow and operate a Company furnished snow vehicle that would typically be pulled by a pickup when necessary to perform their duties.
