General Purpose

This position is responsible for functional oversight of the day to day (24/7) electric utility transmission and distribution control center operations with covering a large geographic territory, which has a major impact on corporate and business unit objectives. Implements and supports Company programs and policies. May be a working supervisor. 

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the work and scheduling of the functional group.
• Lead the functional team; direct day-to-day activities, and provide guidance and direction.
• Manage the Salt Lake City or Portland region system operations center.  Responsible for implementing strategic business objectives, strategies and plans in support of company strategic goals.
• Supervise work activities related to system operation, outage requests, customer outages, and the management notification processes.
• Oversee activities related to the planning, operations, switching and protection of the distribution and transmission systems.
