General Purpose

 

Contributes to planning and implementation of transmission projects necessary to ensure that the transmission system continues to reliably and efficiently accommodate customer needs. Utilizes engineering methods to demonstrate compliance with NERC/WECC Reliability Standards. Develops engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Company generation, transmission facilities/systems.

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, modify, and evaluate transmission systems, processes, or facilities to support Company objectives, utilizing engineering methods to demonstrate compliance with NERC/WECC reliability standards. 
  • Develop complex engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments.  
  • Determine methods and techniques for obtaining results. 
  • Recommend alternative engineering solutions to management to meet business needs.  
  • Deliver on commitments and manage outside engineering services to accomplish the assigned work.  
  • Maintain project timeliness and budgets.

What is a Relocation Package?

A company relocation package is a combination of services and/or financial arrangements like cost reimbursements and various allowances new hires receive when moving for a new role. In simpler terms — it’s an extra employer perk to compensate for the inconveniences and costs of changing zip codes. 

According to an Atlas Survey, the most common groups of workers who receive relocation offers include: Executives and tenured professionals. But a good fraction of entry-level employees and new hires in large companies also get lump-sum assistance.

General Purpose

Conducts analysis through research, gathering and interpretation of data, development of alternatives and recommendations.   Presents analysis and recommendations to management and may implement selected alternative.  Analyses include, but are not limited to, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, trending/forecasting, financial analysis, budget analysis and reporting.  Specifically, this position may provide professional level services for ensuring the company complies with regulatory requirements of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), state and federal laws and regulations relating to hydropower, generation, or transmission operations.

Responsibilities

•    Provide environmental support for T&D Operations’ projects (transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects), including NEPA-related permitting activities, CWA Section 404, NHPA Section 106, ESA Section 7 and 10, CEQA, EFSC, SEPA, local land use permitting (county and city), and general construction permits.
