General Purpose

Provides advice and counsel to management and client organizations. Conducts special studies and analyses, develops alternatives, presents recommendations to management and influences management decisions.  Researches, analyzes, develops and implements new strategies, programs, and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions.  This position is in the PacifiCorp finance department and is responsible for analyzing the settlement statements and financial results of the new extended day-ahead market (EDAM).  This is a new energy market to be developed in May 2026 between PacifiCorp and the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) and other western electric utilities.  

Responsibilities of this position include the following:

• Develop and apply custom data models and algorithms to large data sets.
• Design tools and testing models to ensure data accuracy.
• Create data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets.
• Collaborate with plant operations, energy supply management and regulatory teams to analyze problems, identify issues, innovate and deliver solutions consistent with schedules established and improve business outcomes.
