General Purpose

Oversees credit risk profiles of the wholesale energy portfolio, structured transactions, or commercial and industrial accounts, including monitoring of credit quality of existing and new counterparties/customers, monitoring exposures against maximum allowed limits, ensuring collection and maintenance of adequate collateral as applicable, and reporting of credit risk exposures and mitigations to management.

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

Assist in the development of timely credit decisions on wholesale energy and structured transactions or managed commercial and industrial accounts.
Collaborate with risk management, energy supply management, and resource and commercial strategy personnel on transaction structuring and approval with regard to the credit terms.
Prepare reports on wholesale energy portfolio or managed commercial and industrial energy credit exposure related to electricity, natural gas, and financial positions.
Prepare daily margin requirements, periodic risk analysis, and ad hoc reports.

The GIS Specialist position ensures that As-Builts are mapped into the facility and GIS based connectivity mapping systems after construction completes. As well as providing support on various data cleanup projects. Responsible for updating the mapping and connectivity systems using redlines and other information that comes back from the field, engineering, or dispatch. Position requires a good understanding of electrical distribution systems or other utility network based systems in addition to a strong knowledge of distribution utility design and GIS fundamentals.

Provides professional accounting services utilizing U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) Uniform System of Accounts. Activities include interpretation and application of accounting and capitalization policies, including those issued by governmental and regulatory bodies; analysis of construction project costs, including removal costs; preparation and maintenance of fixed asset records; and external and ad hoc financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform fixed assets/general accounting and month-end close activities through the preparation and processing of journal entries, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and support of internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance requirements.
Compile, analyze and interpret asset construction costs to determine if capital or expense in nature and allocate capital costs to final asset records created in PacifiCorp’s fixed asset subsidiary ledger.
Create, retire and transfer fixed assets records and maintain continuing property records in accordance with the requirements of the FERC’s Uniform System of Accounts.
