General Purpose

Prepare, support and implement PacifiCorp’s environmental compliance reporting obligations related to greenhouse (GHG) allowances, fuel mix, GHG emissions, carbon offsets, renewable energy credits (RECs), and renewable portfolio standards (RPS). Serve as key contact on day-to-day environmental reporting matters, including interfacing with a variety of internal subject matter experts, external stakeholders, and regulators. Use a variety of software programs and data sources to compile, analyze, interpret, and validate environmental reporting information. Apply an understanding of relevant environmental laws and regulations to deliver reports with high-data integrity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Manage the accuracy of the company’s renewable resource and emissions data.
Manage state renewable portfolio standard compliance filings, including verification of agency certification of renewable resources for compliance with state and/or federal renewable portfolio standard programs.
Prepare and/or manage the preparation of regulatory and compliance filings to meet the reporting requirements in all states, including regulatory testimony, exhibits and supporting documentation
Present reports to management to obtain approval to file.

General Purpose

Provide regulatory, legislative and project management support including for the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and associated stakeholder and regulatory process, active regulatory dockets supporting commercial and resource acquisitions, and legislative activities impacting modeling and planning inputs and assumptions.

Responsibilities

Draft comments and contribute to testimony and other regulatory filings in the IRP dockets and other related rulemakings and legislative activities.
Respond to discovery requests from state commissions and stakeholders.
Develop an IRP project plan with the project scope and objectives, major activities, and timelines for completion.
Oversee IRP projects, maintain the project plan, and monitor progress against the plan. Communicate with the Director regarding project status.
Contribute to development of the IRP document.
Perform analysis as needed supporting commercial resource acquisition and valuation, development of the annual integrated resource plan, and associated studies.
Prepare and develop tables, figures and charts supporting analysis.
Oversee stakeholder public input meeting logistics, issues tracking and distribution of materials.

General Purpose

The T&D Specialist provides real-time substation apparatus support to field personnel in order to expedite both planned and unplanned outages throughout Pacificorp. Employees in this role act as a resource to operations to investigate and resolve problem situations and complex issues. This support is provided either on-site or remotely depending on the situation. The T&D Specialist also researches, analyzes, develops and implements new programs, systems and/or processes in response to changing internal and external conditions and trains the operations group on evolving policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Associate Level position include the following:

Provide technical support to operation & control functions within the business
Provide solutions to issues with substation transformers, load tap changers, circuit interrupting devices, & cap banks
Support substation operations during equipment overhauls
Travel as necessary to support the operation effectiveness of substation equipment
Under direction, develop & modify policies & practices to improve the effective operation of PacifiCorp’s substations & transmission & distribution system
Recommend solutions to improve system performance & reliability
Analyze substation schemes & prints & prepare field notebooks & outlines for installation of relays, & maintain file of field tests
Assist with improvement of substation policies, procedures & other documentation that govern all aspects of electrical operations & ensure they are fully integrated with company safety procedures, legislative requirements & meet all NERC reliability standard requirements
Work with engineers & operations staff to resolve substation design issues
Provide training as needed for various departments including dispatch, relay technicians, relay technician trainees, substation journeyman, substation journeyman apprentices, communication technicians, communication technician trainees, & switchman

In addition to the above, Mid-Level will include the following responsibilities:

Provide technical support for moderately complex substation functions within the business
Develop & modify policies & practices to improve the effectiveness of PacifiCorp’s substation network
Improve substation policies, procedures & other documentation & ensure they are fully integrated with company safety procedures, legislative requirements & meet all NERC reliability standard requirements

In addition to the above, the Senior Level will include the following responsibilities:

Lead development & implementation processes & procedures to enhance the operational effectiveness of substations
Evaluate substation policies, procedures & other documentation & ensure all aspects of electrical operations are in accordance with company safety procedures, legislative requirements & meet all NERC reliability standard requirements
Supervise local relay technicians, communication technicians, & substation journeymen & develop & review daily & weekly schedules when required
Analyze substation schemes & prints and prepare field notebooks & outlines for installation of substation equipment

In addition to the above, the Principal Level will include the following responsibilities:

Lead apparatus support personnel to effectively & punctually complete tasks, projects, & training responsibilities

Requirements

Requirements for the Associate Level position include the following:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
